Frequently Asked Questions
Common Requested Information
What is the idea behind ClusterStar?
The idea of how ClusterStar is operating is similar to a concept invented in France in 1967:
Students offer consulting services to companies and get practical experience at an early stage in their careers.
These student business consultancies usually operate in collaboration with their respective universities and are therefore regionally limited. The idea of ClusterStar, however, is to transfer this idea to a global scale, especially to countries where the idea of student business consultancies did not exist before. Our virtual Profit Centers in the respective cities substitute the regional associations and make our consultant pool easier to handle.
All students are connected with a worldwide web based network. This network is the base for any kind of communication and our knowledge and quality management.
What is a Profit Center?
A Profit Center is a local network consisting of student business consultants from different universities. A Profit Center Manager is in charge of the local network. He or she plays an important role in the application process, project acquisition and project organisation. In the Profit Center, meetings, seminars and central modules of our knowledge and quality management are foreseen.
What is the organisation of ClusterStar like?
We focus on a careful selection of our consultants, excellent relationships with our business partners and an acquisition of outstanding customers.
In this way we intend to offer our consultants interesting and demanding projects and to provide our customers with sustaining and superior consulting services.
How much time will a membership at ClusterStar take up?
Consultants are not obliged to participate in conceptional meetings or to join internal projects.
The consultant is offered the possibility to join in consulting projects. The acquisition of such projects is mainly managed by ClusterStar KG. The consultants, however, may acquire projects as well.
As soon as a consulting project is acquired, the student consultants are informed by our internal e-mail distributor and are given the chance to freely decide whether or not they want to work on this project.
Hence, time management can be prosecuted individually and without any restrictions. Moreover, it is our goal to enable our members to focus on their studies in order to gain knowledge and to improve their consulting skills.
What do consultants usually earn?
The payment typically is up to the negotiation skills of the respective team.
How can I terminate my membership?
Your membership can be terminated anytime in written form (by e-mail or letter) without any restrictions.
Is a membership associated with any costs?
The membership is free. There are neither membership nor admission fees.
